Jaworzyna Krynicka Mountain
Thanks to the gondola lift, the peak of Jaworzyna Krynicka mountain is an excellent starting point for hiking and cycling, which no one would miss throughout the region due to the very large number of available routes. Krynica Zdrój is a town known primarily from the great tradition of winter sports.
Currently, it is one of the most modern and largest ski resorts in Poland with Jaworzyna Mountain in the lead role, where10 lifts with 6 highly diversified, artificially snowed and lighted ski runs are located.
One of them is the longest and largest Polish fun park comprising of jib elements (20 parts) with different degrees of difficulty and jump-type elements (7 parts). The snow park is over 1000 m long and about 25 m wide, it is clearly visible from the cars of the gondola lift. At the foot of Jaworzyna is also built a set out of cross-country ski trails of varying lengths and difficulty levels.
Museum of Mountain Tourism is localised at the peak. It is one of the few museums existing in the Polish mountains presenting the history of exploring the mountains and introducing traditions of mountain hiking in Poland. Museum at Jaworzyna was opened in 1970. Its exposition is dedicated to the history of tourism primarily in the Beskid Sądecki and partisan struggles in the Jaworzyna Krynicka range.
